Battery Lid Gas Strut for the Ultra Bee

This gas strut is designed for the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee battery lid. It provides lift support for the battery cover and is intended to replace a strut that no longer supports the lid correctly through its normal movement.

Match the Original Strut

Compare the product images with the strut currently fitted to your motorcycle. Check the overall length, body and rod orientation, end-fitting shapes, and the mounting points on both the lid and battery compartment. Inspect the lid hinges and mounting brackets at the same time, because a damaged or misaligned mounting point can affect lid movement even when the strut is serviceable.

Safe Installation

Switch the motorcycle off and support the battery lid securely before releasing either end of the existing strut. Do not rely on the lid to remain open while the support is disconnected. Install the replacement in the same orientation as the original and confirm that both ends are fully secured. Move the lid slowly through its travel, checking for binding, unexpected contact, or pressure on nearby wiring. Before riding, make sure the lid opens, closes, and latches normally.
